Supporting individuals

To date, many individuals have received grants ranging from £200 to £6000 allowing them to attend specific vocational courses, training schemes, international conferences and festivals which have enriched and expanded their educational and professional experience. These grants are awarded twice a year.

In 2010, the Ymddiried Scholarship was established and the first recipient is Rhodri Llŷr ap Dyfrig who was awarded £25,000 for his work in developing bilingual digital media services.

The aim is to offer this substantial scholarship every two years.

Development Partnerships

In 2009, £80,000 of grants was awarded to various groups in order to increase the opportunities for people across Wales to engage with media culture and enable access to the media of the future.

This year, educational projects led by Chapter [Young Persons’ Film Academy] and Media Education Wales [Film Club Wales Training] were each awarded £10,000.
